Senior Transport Planners

We are currently seeking applications for B3 Transport Planners within Transport Scotland based in Glasgow. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will start on the minimum of the pay range.

To help us deliver our responsibilities we are seeking suitably qualified and experienced Transport Planners to fill a number of posts within the Strategic Transport Planning team within the TSA Directorate. Successful applicants will be allocated roles that most closely match their skills and experience, the areas in which they are most keenly interested, balanced with business needs.

Essential Criteria and Qualifications

You must have either of the following professional qualifications:
• Chartered Civil Engineer registered with the Engineering Council and member of the ICE or CIHT; or
• Chartered Transport Planning Professional gained with CIHT or TPS.

Successful candidates who do not currently hold a professional qualification will be placed on a reserve list for 12 months to allow you time to gain Chartered status. If you fail to pass your professional review within this 12 month period you will need to re-apply for future vacancies.
