Senior Civil Engineers - Roads

We are currently seeking applications for five Senior Civil Engineers within Transport Scotland in the Roads Directorate.

The Roads Directorate is responsible for carrying out the management, maintenance and operation of the Trunk Roads in Scotland. The Trunk Road network comprises of around 3,500km of road and is the largest asset Scottish Ministers own (£21 billion net gross asset value).

The Directorate contributes to Transport Scotland’s delivery priorities of:

• Improved connections across Scotland
• Better journey times, better reliability
• Greener transport alternatives, reduced emissions
• Enhanced safety, more innovation

To help us deliver our responsibilities we are seeking suitably qualified and experienced applicants to fill a number of senior grade civil engineering posts in the Roads Directorate. These are exciting and challenging engineering positions. Individuals will be asked their preferred post(s) at interview, and we will match successful candidates to the position that best suits their experience in order of merit. In exceptional circumstances we may decide that a candidate is best suited to a role that is not currently highlighted, but all positions will be discussed with successful candidates before they are posted to a role.
