The M9/A9 Trunk Road (Inveralmond) (Temporary Prohibition of Specified Turns) Order 2018

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting specified turns on that length of the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road being the northbound and southbound carriageways from a point 500 metres or thereby north of the junction with Inveralmond Roundabout, Perth in a generally northwards direction to a point 2 kilometres or thereby north of Inveralmond Roundabout, a distance of 1.5 kilometres or thereby from making the following turns:

  1. All right turns from the southbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road to the unclassified road leading to Berthapark Cottages and Ruthvenfield Road, Perth.
  2. All right turns from the unclassified road leading from Berthapark Cottages and Ruthvenfield Road, Perth to the southbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.
  3. All right turns from the northbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road to the unclassified field entrance access road  900 metres or thereby north of Inveralmond Roundabout, Perth.
  4. All right turns from the unclassified field entrance access road about 900 metres or thereby north of Inveralmond Roundabout, Perth to the northbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.
  5. All right turns from the southbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road to the access road leading to Broxy Kennels, Perth.
  6. All right turns from the access road leading from Broxy Kennels, Perth to the southbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.
  7. All right turns from the northbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road to the unclassified road leading to Denmarkfield, Luncarty.
  8. All right turns from the unclassified road leading from Denmarkfield, Luncarty to the northbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.
  9. All right turns from the southbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road to the northbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.
  10. All right turns from the northbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road to the southbound M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.

The Order, which is required to facilitate works on that length of road, will be in operation from 10 June 2018 until 23 June 2018 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes; or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.
