The A96 Trunk Road (Tyrebagger Junction Area) (Prohibition of Specified Turns) Order 202

The Scottish Minister hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under sections 1(1)(a), 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit traffic on that length of the A96 Craibstone – Inverness Trunk Road from a point of 822 metres or thereby west of its junction with the centre line of the road known as the B979 to Tyrebagger, Aberdeenshire, in a generally easterly direction to a point of 504 metres or thereby west of the point where it meets the circulation lanes of the Craibstone Roundabout, a distance of 2.2 kilometres or thereby from making the following turns:

  1. All right turns from the eastbound carriageway of the A96 Craibstone – Inverness Trunk Road to the road known as the B979 to Tyrebagger, Aberdeenshire.
  2. All right turns from the road known as the B979 to Tyrebagger, Aberdeenshire, to the eastbound carriageway of the A96 Craibstone – Inverness Trunk Road.
  3. All U-turns.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 20 October to 10 November 2022 at the Co-Op Sclattie Park, Bucksburn, Aberdeen, AB21 9QL.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection by email to TRO-Objections@transport.gov.scot or in writing to the Director of Roads, c/o Ben Toyer, Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF quoting reference NW/A96/BT by 10 November 2022.
