The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they have made the above Order, under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing a temporary speed restriction of 40mph on the following lengths of road:-

  1. That length of the AWPR from a point 45 metres or thereby west of its intersection with the Charleston junction northbound on slip, in a generally westerly direction for a distance of 400 metres or thereby.
  2. That length of the A956 Trunk Road from a point 45 metres or thereby west of its intersection with the Charleston junction northbound on slip, in a generally easterly direction for a distance of 210 metres or thereby.

The Order will be in place from 1st August 2018 to 30th November 2018 and is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to works.

Alternative routes

An alternative route for traffic during the restriction is not required. A copy of the Order and this Notice will be available on the Transport Scotland website at https://www.transport.gov.scot/road-orders/?roadorderregion=1292
