The A90 Trunk Road (Stirling to Invernettie Roundabout) (Temporary 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2021

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of restricting the speed of vehicles to 40mph on that length of the M90/A90/A9000 Edinburgh - Fraserburgh Trunk Road from a point 230 metres or thereby north of its junction with Station Road (B9108) at the end of the existing 40mph speed restriction through Stirling Village northwards to a point 330 metres or thereby south of Invernettie Roundabout, a distance of 1.45 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, is required to facilitate the construction of a Substation and because of the likelihood of danger to the public will be in operation from 1 July 2021 until 16 December 2022 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations, or vehicles being used in an emergency for coastguard purposes.
