The A887 and A82 Trunk Road (Invermoriston to Inverness) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2017

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the following Order under section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984:

The A830 and A82 Trunk Road (Fort William To Invergarry) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2017 which will temporarily prohibit traffic on the following lengths of road during the period 22nd June 2017 until the 28th June 2017.

  1. That length of the A830 Fort William – Mallaig Trunk Road from a point about 100 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with the B8006 Kilmallie Road, Banavie, Fort William in a north westerly direction to a point 200 metres or thereby northwest of that junction with the B8006 Kilmallie Road, Banavie, Fort William, a distance of 100 metres or thereby.
  2. That length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road from a point 500 metres or thereby south of its junction with Kilfinnan Road, Laggan northwards to a point about 400 metres or thereby south of its junction with Kilfinnan Road, Laggan, a distance of 100 metres or thereby.
  3. That length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road from a point 250 metres or thereby west of its junction with the access road leading to Aberchalder Farm, Invergarry westwards to a point 400 metres or thereby west of its junction with the access road leading to Aberchalder Farm, a distance of 150 metres or thereby.

The Order is required to enable a filming crew to cross the carriageway safely with their equipment. Restrictions will be in operation for short periods of no more than  10 minutes. The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, coastguard, ambulance or police purposes or vehicles being used in connection with filming and placing of the required signage but will only have effect in relation to such length(s) of road as indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
