The A86 Trunk Road (High Street, Kingussie) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2017

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A86 Spean Bridge – Kingussie Trunk Road at High Street, Kingussie from a point 100 metres or thereby south west of its junction with Duke Street, Kingussie in a north easterly direction to a point 100 metres or thereby north east of the junction with Duke Street, a distance of 200 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate repairs to a defective manhole cover will be in operation from 6 October until 9 October 2017. The prohibition on use will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade,  ambulance, police or coastguards purposes or vehicles being used to carry out the works.

Alternative Routes

Alternative route for traffic is not required.
