The A85 Trunk Road (Methven) (Temporary Prohibition on Use, Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2020

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and 2, 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting use, waiting, loading and unloading on that length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road from a point 160 metres or thereby east of its junction with Culdeesland Road, Methven in a general westerly direction along Main Street, Methven to a point 34 metres or thereby west of its junction with Church Road, Methven, a distance of 485 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate a trial hole investigation will be in operation from 12 October until 16 October 2020. It is anticipated that the restrictions will be in place between 9:30am and 4pm during this period. Pedestrians access will be maintained at all times and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.
