The A85 Trunk Road (Crieff) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2022

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road from a point 50 metres or thereby southwest of its junction with Rectory Road, Crieff in a generally south-westwards direction along Perth Road and East High Street and then westwards along High Street and James Square to a point 25 metres or thereby east of the junction between West High Street and Academy Road, Crieff, a distance of 690 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the holding of the Crieff Highland Gathering Kilt Race and Pipe Band Parade will be in operation from 21 August until 22 August and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event.
