The A82 Trunk Road (Tyndrum to North Ballachulish) (Rural Clearway) Order 20[ ]

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1)(c), 2(1) and 2(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing a rural clearway on that length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road from its junction with the A85 Tyndrum – Oban Trunk Road north of Tyndrum, in a generally north westwards and then northwards direction to a point 34 metres or thereby south of the centreline of its junction with the Old Ferry Road, North Ballachulish, a distance of 53.85 kilometres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 6 December 2019 until 6 January 2020 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF; and Ballachulish Post Office, Park Rd, Ballachulish PH49 4JS; and Tyndrum Post Office & Village Store, Tyndrum, FK20 8RY.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the Director of Trunk Road and Bus Operations, c/o Jack Rorison, Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF quoting reference NW/A82/JR by 6 January 2020.
