The A82 Trunk Road (Kinghouse to Glencoe) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2021

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under section 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road from its junction with the access to Glencoe Ski Tow Road, Kingshouse, in a general westerly direction to its junction with Old Glencoe Road, Glencoe, a distance of 14.55 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to works, will be in operation from 6 September until 7 September 2021. It is anticipated that the restriction will only be in operation for short periods of two minute intervals between 1pm and 2pm and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of lengths of road as are indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles of being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes.
