The A82 Trunk Road (Fort Augustus) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting) Order 2022

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of temporarily prohibiting waiting on the following lengths of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road:

  • West Side -
    That length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road at Fort Augustus from a point 30 metres north east of the north kerbline of Bunoich Brae junction south west and south for a distance of 546 metres or thereby.
  • East Side -
    That length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road at Fort Augustus from a point 30 metres north east opposite the north kerbline of Bunoich Brae junction south west and south for a distance of 546 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required for safety reasons will be in operation from 1 September 2022 until 1 September 2023 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

No prohibition imposed by this Order applies to a vehicle being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes.

An alternative route is not required.
