The A82 Trunk Road (Fort Augustus) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2025

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is as described in Inverness Courier dated 28th February 2025 and The Edinburgh Gazette, dated 28th February 2025 Issue number 29086. The Order comes into force on Thursday 3rd April 2025.

A copy of the Order as made and the relevant plan may be inspected free of charge until 8th May 2025 at Fort Augustus Post Office, Great Glen Trading Centre, Main Street, Fort Augustus, PH32 4DD, Fort Augustus Pharmacy, Great Glen Trading Centre, Fort Augustus, PH32 4DD and at the offices of Transport Scotland, George House, 36 North Hanover Street, Glasgow, G1 2AD until 30 April 2025 and 177 Bothwell Street Glasgow G2 7ER from 1 May 2025.

Statement of Compatibility

In accordance with section 23(2) of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024 (the Act), the Scottish Ministers certify that, in their view, the A82 Trunk Road (Fort Augustus) (Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2025 is compatible with the UNCRC requirements as defined by section 1(2) of the Act.
