The A702 Trunk Road (Biggar Road, Hillend) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2018

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting waiting, loading and unloading on that length of the A702 Edinburgh - Abington Trunk Road known as Biggar Road from a point 200 metres or thereby south of Lothianburn South Roundabout to a point 320 metres or thereby south of Lothianburn South Roundabout, a total distance of 120 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate works, will be in operation from the 1 October 2018 until the 1 November 2019 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. 

The Order does not apply to a vehicle while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.

Alternative routes

An alternative route for traffic during the prohibition is not required.
