The A68 Trunk Road (Cranstoun Church) (Temporary Prohibition On Use Of Road) Order 2022

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A68 Edinburgh – Carter Bar Trunk Road from its junction with the A6106, known as the Fordel Mains Junction, southwards to its junction with the B6372, known as the Oxenfoord Junction, a distance of 1.9 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to allow the laying of wreaths at the memorial at the Cranstoun Church Remembrance Sunday Event 2022, and to enable members of the public to watch this event, will be in operation from 13 November until 14 November. This is expected to last for 5-10 minutes between 11:00 and 13:00 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the lengths of road as are indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event.
