The A6091/A7 Trunk Road (Selkirk) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2021

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting waiting, loading and unloading on that length of the A6091/A7 Melrose - Galashiels - Carlisle Trunk Road from the centreline of its junction with The Valley Road, Selkirk in a northwards direction for a distance of 120 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate proposed works and due to the likelihood of danger to the public will be in operation from 28 July until 3 August 2021 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Extent of waiting restriction will be marked with no waiting cones to allow Scottish Power to safely repair defective apparatus on the footway.

The Order does not apply to a vehicle being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes, or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.
