A85 - (Inveraray) - (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians and Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2022

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 62(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibiting traffic, pedestrians and waiting, loading and unloading on that length of the A83 Tarbet – Lochgilphead – Campbeltown Trunk Road at Inveraray from its junction with the entrance to the Fisher Row Car Park in a general north-easterly direction to its junction with Front Street East, a distance of 240 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to works, will be in operation from the 7 September until 14 September.  It is anticipated that filming will take place over 2 days on the 7 and 8 September. Restrictions on the trunk road and footway will only be in operation for approximately 5 minute intervals during these times. It will however be necessary to prohibit traffic from waiting, loading and unloading between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire service, coastguard, ambulance or police purposes or to acts done with the permission or upon the direction of a police constable in uniform.
