A84 - (Callander) - (Temporary Prohibition of Use on Road) Order 2022

The Scottish Minsters give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of temporarily prohibiting traffic on the A84/A85 Stirling - Crianlarich Trunk Road from its junction with Geisher Road, Callander in a generally north westwards direction in Stirling Road and Main Street, Callander to the northmost junction with Ancaster Square, Callander a distance of 1.2 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate a Christmas Parade and Christmas Light Switch on and to enable participants and members of the public to view the parade safely will be in operation from 3 December until 4 December. It is anticipated that the restrictions will be in place for approximately 30 minutes between 16:00hrs and 16:30hrs and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of length of road as indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event.
