General Update

SMT provided updates and discussed current issues in their directorates, including:

  • Support to Ministers.
  • International travel restrictions,
  • Rail network resilience,
  • Road Safety Scotland Annual Conference, and
  • A83

Risk Update

AP outlined that the internal risk audit commenced last week. This includes governance, roles and responsibilities, and risk management and monitoring. 

Arrangements to manage third party risks will also be covered by this audit.  The final support is expected by 18 March.

The risk escalation process between TS and DG Net Zero was also discussed.

Finance

KT provided a summary of the current financial position.  They also discussed the approach to financial forecasting and the spending review.

Correspondence 

SW provided a summary of performance of PQs and Correspondence.  They also discussed FoI Performance and what support and training is available for staff.

Corporate Update

DS provided an update on works being carried out to Buchanan House and potential impacts provided. They discussed current capacity of Buchanan House as move to hybrid working model formally commences was set out.

HR Management Information

JD provided an update on current headcount. There are 61 current vacancies and a total staff resource of 638.  They also discussed the impact of Covid-19 on absences discussed.  JD also provided and discussed organisational levels of absence.

People Survey Results

JD provided a summary of the People Survey Results were discussed.
