Carbon Account for Transport No. 6: 2014 Edition

The sixth edition of the Carbon Account for Transport provides the annual detailed update on Scotland’s transport emissions performance up to 2012, and likely impact of new infrastructure projects on future emissions.

Breakdown of transport emissions by mode 1990-2012: 1990 13.1MtCO2e - Public Transport 4.4%, Cars 44.2%, HGV 22%, Marine 20%, Air 9.4%. 2012 12.9MtCO2e - Public Transport 5.9%, Cars 40%, HGV 28.1%, Marine 13%, Air 28.1%.
