A full closure of the bridge is being put into effect after midnight on Thursday December 3, 2015.

AWPR/B-T bridge will keep disruption to a minimumA new temporary bridge will be installed across the A96 this weekend between Dyce Drive roundabout and Kirkhill Forest to help keep traffic moving during Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie-Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) construction works.

Major works progress to next stageThe contraflow currently in operation on the M74 northbound carriageway, between the off and on slip roads at Junction 5, Raith, is scheduled to switch to the southbound carriageway this weekend (21/22 November 2015) and will remain in place for approximately nine months.

Traffic management will be in place on the A90 at Charleston overnight on Friday 6 November and overnight on Saturday 7 November so that Scottish and Southern Energy can remove and replace overhead power cables to accommodate the AWPR/B-T project.

Successful operation means a further closure of the A90 is not required

Another milestone has been reached on the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route / Balmedie -Tipperty project with the first bridge beams being lowered into place at the site of the new Tipperty Junction.
